Vaivase Water Tank

The construction of 3 water tank projects located at Tapatapao, Alaoa and Vaivase was funded by JICA to increase water capacity and access to clean water for Samoa Water Authority in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 6. There were a varity of different size and shape tanks built on each site with a water storage capacity of hundreds of thousands of Liters and water treatment facilities. The construction required significant boxing, scaffolding, reinforcing steel and large volumes of concrete. Challenges with this project included remoteness of the proposed site locations and difficult roading conditions.
